Violinist Marie Cantagrill in London

The violinist Marie Cantagrill made her London debut in a recital at Southwark Cathedral on Wednesday this week, in advance of the release of her new CD of J. S. Bach’s “Sonata No. 1 & Partita No. 1” at the end of November, distributed in the UK by Metronome/Discovery.

She returns to London on October 31st and again on November 11th, to give British audiences the opportunity to hear her play. These concerts are free entry.

6.30pm 31st October at St. Stephen’s Church, Gloucester Road (nearest Tube station: Gloucester Road) for the “St-Stephen’s Church Rush Hour Concert Series”.

6.30pm  11th November at the Victoria and Albert Museum (nearest Tube station: South Kensington), for the “Victoria and Albert Museum “Norfolk House Music Room Concert Series”.

Marie Cantagrill will be accompanied by the talented British pianist Alexander Wilson and the programme will feature: Franck – Sonata for violin and piano, Bach – Ciaccona for solo violin, and  Saint-Saëns – Danse Macabr
