John Cronin is a warranted leader in the Scout Association, holding the position of District Commissioner in the CCI Scout District covering the London Boroughs of Camden, Islington and the City of London.

In addition he is of Group President / Group Treasurer with 1st City of London (Lord Mayor’s Own) Scout Group where until 2008 he had been the Group Scout Leader. It is one of the largest Scout Groups in the Camden, City & Islington District and is the only voluntary youth organisation operating in the City of London.

John is also Local Training Manager and is a County Advisor for Cambridgeshire Scouts. Working with the Scout Association occupies much of his spare time and his wife, Veronica, is also a warranted leader in the Group. Both are involved with the 1st Doddington Scout Group where they live in Cambridgeshire (Veronica as Group Scout Leader and John as Group Chairman)
